As we get older, we tend to forget to make presents for our loved ones. Sweet little handmade gifts are gradually replaced by bought objects, and the less time we have, the more important it becomes how much we spend on the presents. This process starts pretty early and is automatically linked to the devaluation of the handmade. Somehow, the idea of drawing something as a present is mostly associated with childhood, and already as teenagers we tend to find it rather uncool. This Wunschgarten workshop aims to change this trend and shows through hands-on activity that a lovingly crafted card or poster for a loved one can be much more than just another drawing tucked away in a drawer.
